‘Mohan was a fantastic leader, and his cooking and driving staff were absolutely top-notch.. The variety, quantity and quality of food on the trek was astonishing. I’d been worried about the food being too spicy for me, but Mohan made sure it wasn’t. The walking routes were superb and Mohan, helped by Gyurmat (the guide), made sure everyone was OK at all times…Leh and Ladakh were wonderful. The temples and monasteries were incredible. The mountain scenery and people were out of this world. The hotel we stayed in Jaipur was superb – an amazing way to end the trip… I LOVED my time in India. It’s changed my life. Thank you so much.’

‘I went on the Ladakh trip with Mohan really not knowing what to expect. I have never done this type of holiday before. I really wanted to travel in India and this was a great way to do it. Mohan really looked after everything, giving great advice and tips to deal with altitude, food and pretty much anything. I felt very safe and secure which was important for me. The trek itself was just the most incredible experience and this is where Mohan’s experience as a guide was invaluable. He had everything so well arranged and organised…If you are thinking about it just do it with Namaste Nomad. I enjoyed so much I am doing another trip with Mohan next year!

‘When anyone asks me “How was Nepal?” my response is “Phenomenal!” It raises an eyebrow I know, but I have chosen this one word to describe it as I feel it gives the most honest heart felt answer. Everything about this trip brings a smile to my mind. I’m not one to usually book through tour groups, I usually prefer to discover through my own ventures. I had researched many options, asked friends for recommendations and had hummed and hawed about how to see Nepal and Everest Basecamp for the first time. From the moment I contacted Mohan I felt at ease. He answered any queries I had, his responses were always quick, patient and thorough…

‘When my girlfriend Eilish asked me if I’d like to go to Everest base camp back at the start of 2016 I didn’t think it was possible. Two years previous broken my ankle badly I was told I had an 80% chance of walking properly again so the idea of trekking any distance was very far off. I wasn’t a trekker at all before taking on this trip but I well and truly am now. After signing up Mohan engaged with us immediately informing us about the trip and what we could expect. He called me out of the blue one Saturday to have a chat and see if I had any questions or about the trip or how best to prepare myself. He gave me some advice on how best to train taking into consideration my injury…

‘This adventure has changed my mind on guided trips. I will be back! Communication was beyond expectations. The level of professionalism & security in the guides knowledge was fantastic. There was no doubts about what was next or when to be somewhere. The thought put in to my & everyone’s individual care care was refreshing & insightful to how a trip can be run’.

‘For me it was just perfect, I can only say positive things. Everything was well prepared, everything was under control (treks, food, safety…). The Sherpas were so nice and always ready to help everybody. It’s been an amazing trip, I’m looking forward to the next one. In my personal case (because I’m a bit impatient) some days I would like to have gone faster in the trekkings, I mean less stops, because my personal rhythm it’s a bit higher but I perfectly understand that we are a family and a group and we have to look after between us. I really admire Mohan’s work, he has done everything excellent!’

‘This trip isn’t only about seeing the highest peaks in the world, it’s about feeling a part of a team, a family. We all looked after each other and encouraged each other every step of the way, we were all in our joy. I think the Namaste Nomad Staff provided a great platform for us all to work together as a family, as an incredible team…The Sherpas have climbed the highest peaks in the world but you would not know it because they are so humble, patient, open and friendly …The cooks make simple healthy food fit for kings and queens…Mohan is a professional at what he does, taking care of every little detail and giving great tips to help us all reach our goal, safely and healthily. He has 17 years of experience of the Himalaya under his belt, so he knows what he’s talking about. So my advise is to listen to everything he has to say. It seems to be a cliché to say, it was life changing, but this trip for me, truly was life changing!!!’

‘What an incredible trip hosted by such a genuine, caring & patient man, Mohan! He and his team provided us an opportunity to challenge ourselves to accomplish something that many others can only dream of. The experience and encouragement from these wonderful guys meant we could all achieve our dreams & reach Everest Base Camp. Our newly formed family had the most amazing adventure & one that we will truly cherish. This trip has had such a positive impact on us all & I personally cannot thank Mohan enough for it. Highly, highly recommend Namaste Nomad to all who would like a special & memorable travel experience’
