Can the itineraries for tours and treks be customised?

Yes! The itineraries featured on Namaste Nomad are based on popular routes, which have been refined by our expert guide. However our speciality is our ability to develop a customised tour based on your preferences and requests. We do our utmost to make it happen. You have several activity and accommodation options and the suggested itinerary can be reviewed until you are satisfied with your package.

Is breakfast included?

We always book Bed and Breakfast. If, for some reason, this is not possible, you will be advised.

Is it possible for more than two people to stay in a room?

Most hotels can accommodate a third person sharing, either a triple room or with an extra bed added. Some hotels have family rooms and cots can be provided.

Are all rooms en-suite?

Yes. All hotel rooms booked have private bathrooms.

Is there a single supplement if I am alone in the room?

If you are in room with single occupancy, either by choice or because there is no one else who wants to share, then yes, there is a single supplement. 

If I know who I am travelling with, can I book just for myself and be sure that there are enough slots for all of my travel companions?

If you want to be sure that you are all on the trip, let us know via email and we’ll hold the spaces while everyone gets round to booking.

If I am coming alone, can you organise for me to share with someone else in the group?

We can book you in a single occupancy room and let us know of your willingness to share. If another request to share is made, we can organise for the two of you to share a room and avoid the single supplement.

Each day includes 6 to 8 miles walking; you should feel comfortable walking these distances. Practise stair climbing and biking to get used to elevation changes. However, the pace is comfortable, with multiple breaks allowing you to get used to the conditions.

What kinds of gear do I need?

Good walking/hiking shoes that are well broken in. Perhaps walking sticks, if you like them. A comfortable day pack. Water bottles or camelback. Comfortable clothes – generally shorts, but it can get cool in the evenings. Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential. And a camera!

What do I need to pack?

We send an information packet when the balance for the trip is paid before departure. This includes an itinerary and packing list as well as other useful information regarding your trip. 


How much spending money will I need?

Once we meet you in country, we take care of everything: meals, guides, transport and any extras such as the cable car are all included. You will only require money for personal indulgences, souvenirs and your lunch on the free day spent sight-seeing in the local town; the evening meal that day is included in the price. There are no extras, only spending money for yourself, for example most of the walks end in a village where we stop for a cold drink.

Is a deposit refundable?

No, a deposit is non-refundable. Pico Verde, however, allows a deposit to be transferred to another participant in our group, if someone else can take your place.


Does anyone else want to stay longer and explore the place with me?

Probably. We can try to coordinate this and flight arrangements as well.
