About the tour

After successful back-to-back trips to Mera Peak, many more people are interested in joining us. our Meera peak trekking and climbing activity is starting again this Autumn. Namaste Nomad offers the best price and service, and our sherpa guides are very experienced, having already summited many eight-thousand-metre mountains in Nepal. Mera Peak, at 6454 metres, is one of the most alluring trekking peaks in Nepal as it involves a culturally stimulating journey through remote picturesque villages and forests, followed by a relatively gentle climb to the summit. As Nepal’s highest trekking peak, it’s a popular climbing destination for anyone who’d like a serious challenge, and to gain high altitude experience.

The trek takes you through the remote and wild alpine areas of the Hinku and Honku Drangkas valleys in the Baruntse National Park then crosses the snow line and rises higher and higher until you feel like you’re on top of the world. The view from the summit, in fact, is one of the finest in the Himalayas with five 8000m peaks visible: Mount Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m) and Kanchenjunga (8586m). Our itinerary has been carefully designed to allow for a gradual ascent and for proper acclimatization – your safety is our highest priority. Please read through the itinerary and if you are interested join one of our fixed departures. We can also arrange exclusive treks if you wish to go with your own group – just contact us at info@namastenomad.ie

Our price includes international flights (for people flying from Dublin). We reserve the right though, if flight costs are higher at the time of booking, to ask you to pay the difference. All clients also have the option to arrange their own international flight from their home country to Kathmandu and return.
